Real Madrid Coach Santiago Solari has challenged his players to replicate recent performances in their Champions League tie at Ajax.
Madrid are on a strong run of form recently including a 3-1 win at Atletico Madrid on Saturday in a result which saw them elevated to second in La Liga.
“We must maintain our level of performance from the weekend (win at Atleti),” Solari told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“We compete to win every game and these are the matches which give players extra motivation, and we are facing a very good team with very players.
“Who will play at left-back? We still have a training session left and then we will make a decision.
“Marcelo is our second captain and he is an emblem of Madrid and just as like the rest of the players, he is training very well.
“We all love him and nobody can doubt his contribution, while Sergio Reguilon is at a very high level too.”
