Barcelona striker Luis Suarez believes his side ‘suffered from a lack of communication’ during their draw at Athletic Club in Bilbao on Sunday.
The Blaugrana failed to find the net for the first time this season with the Uruguayan striker believing players did not speak to each other enough during the opening stages.
“We suffered from a lack of communication in the first half,” Suarez told reporters after the game, as cited by El Mundo Deportivo.
“We need to address this because we conceded possession a lot and did not talk to each other, because these small details count against us.
“We are in the midst of a very heavy fixture schedule and that tipped the balance in Athletic’s favour, because they could prepare for the game better.
“Both teams created a lot of chances so I do not know if the draw is the right result, both teams believe they could have won.
“Marc Andre Ter Stegen’s performance? He showed why he is one of the best, he was vital for us.”
