‘Barcelona suffered from tiredness’ – Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen believes his side may be suffering ‘from tiredness’ but must ‘look to improve’ their performance level.

The Catalan giants have drawn three games in the space of a week with Sunday’s 0-0 stalemate at San Mames against Athletic Club Bilbao a frustrating evening for Ernesto Valverde’s side.

“Maybe there was some tiredness because of other heavy schedule,” ter Stegen – who starred in the match – told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“We can rest for a few days now because February is a very busy month and there is a lot going on, so after that little break we must focus on improving.

“We always have things upon which we can improve and we must reflect upon what has gone wrong and seek to rectify it.

“I’m not sure if I was the best player for the team but I always try my best, and this was a good performance defensively from us.”
