Lionel Messi has been included in the Barcelona matchday squad to face Athletic Bilbao tonight, despite struggling with a thigh injury.
The Argentinian missed training on Friday, to undergo a recovery session with the club's physios, and manager Ernesto Valverde confirmed that a late decision would be made on his captain.
Messi suffered the injury in last weekend's draw with Valencia, and he made appearance from the substitutes bench in the midweek Copa del Rey draw with Real Madrid.
s Fellow injury doubt Ousmane Dembele is also included after recovering from a bout of tonsillitis, but Samuel Umtiti is still way from a first team return.
