Solari: Flamengo tragedy has affected Vinicius

Real Madrid manager Saniago Solari believes the tragedy at the Flamengo training ground in the early hours of Friday morning has impacted on striker Vinicius Junior.

Ten teenagers were killed when a blaze took hold of a building at the Brazilian club's Urubu's Nest facility, where the academy players were being housed by the club.

Vinicius, who came through that same academy, tweeted a message of support and condolence for his former club on Friday evening, and his manager confirmed it has affected the 18 year-old.

"Obviously he is affected.

"It is his home. It is normal."

Solari expressed his sympathy for all those affected by the incident and confirmed that he would monitor Vinicius ahead of their derby game with Atletico Madrid.
