Barcelona are considering a summer move for Lyon defender Ferland Mendy according to reports in Mundo Deportivo.
Strengthening his left back options is a priority this summer for Ernesto Valverde, with Jordi Alba currently their only senior option in the position, and the 23 year-old is highly thought of at the Nou Camp.
Mendy has been ever present for Lyon this season, and Barcelona will get a chance to examine him up close when they face Lyon in the Champions League last 16 in ten days time.
Mendy, who signed for Bruno Genesio's side in June 2017 from Le Havre has also received his first senior cap for France, after an impressive breakthrough campaign in Ligue 1.
He signed a contract extension at the end of last season, committing to the club until 2023, however it is reported that he could be available for a fee of €20 million.
