Diego Simeone has praised his new signing Alvaro Morata, who arrived on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season, by claiming he can fire Atletico Madrid to success in the coming weeks.
The 26 year-old returns to the club where he played as a youth team player, following a nightmare second season in the Premier League, with just five league goals to his name in 2018-19.
However Simeone has every faith that the Spanish international will redicover his scoring touch, and he is likely to make his debut against Real Betis on Sunday, with Diego Costa still recovering from foot surgery.
"Morata is an important player for us.
"He gives us a different option, as he is a finisher style striker."
Simeone is hopeful to have Costa back in action in the coming weeks, with Nikola Kalinic and Morata likely to rotate as partners for talisman Antoine Griezmann,
"We will have four strikers up to the end of the season, and Morata is compatible with Costa, Kalinic and Griezmann."
