Real Betis enter loan race to sign Michy Batshuayi

Real Betis are keen on bring in Belgian international Michy Batshuayi on loan until the end of the season according to Sky Sports.

Chelsea striker Batshuayi has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League sides Everton and West Ham, however both prefer a loan deal, with the Blues holding out for a permanent move.

Marco Silva's Everton have made it clear they are not interested in a transfer, while West Ham are only looking for a loan to cover the remainder of the 2018-19 season, with a potential deal for Celta Vigo's Mario Gomez in the summer.

That could open the door for Quique Setien's side to make a late move, after being  linked with a number of strikers in recent weeks.

They have already signed Jese Rodriguez on loan from Paris Saint Germain earlier this week, but reported interest in bringing in Tottenham's Vincent Janssen on loan has faded.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has made clear that he wants to move Batshuayi on, after the striker has made just four Premier League starts following his £33m move to Stamford Bridge from Marseille in 2016.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, and the first half of this campaign on loan at Valencia, but Marcelino is not keen on keeping him, and allowed his loan to be cut short back in December.

However if no deal can be agreed with any interested party, he will return to the Mestalla, as per the terms of the original loan deal.
