Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets hailed ‘difference maker’ Lionel Messi after his side edged out Leganes 3-1 on Sunday evening.
The sides were locked at 1-1 midway through the second half but the Argentine’s introduction acted as the catalyst for Barca to grab two late goals, including one for the substitute.
“We had a good game but we were just lacking accuracy in the final third,” Busquets told Spanish TV after the match.
“Their goal came out of nothing and they were offering nothing in attack, but when Messi came on he made the difference which we knew he would.
“It is a shame about Dembele’s injury, we hope it’s nothing because he has been in amazing form, he is so unpredictable in the final third and brings a lot of goals.”
