Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has heaped praise on central defender Clement Lenglet’s significance for the side.
The Catalan giants have conceded just one goal across their last six league matches and having been defensively shaky earlier in the campaign, now appear solid and formidable.
“Clement has given the defence a lot of security, he has been key for us,” Ter Stegen told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“He is a very calming presence and provides a lot of stability and it is important for us too that Samuel Umtiti will be back soon.
“Now we are defending at a much higher level than was the case a number of weeks ago, we have found continuity in personnel and with the performances.
“We have re-found our defensive strength and that is key for any side who has the ambitions that we do.”
