Jeison Murillo ‘satisfied’ with Barcelona debut despite defeat

Jeison Murillo admitted he was ‘satisfied’ with his Barcelona debut despite his side slipping to a 2-1 loss at Levante in the Copa del Rey.

The Colombian central defender completed the 90 minutes for Barca in a much-changed defence, where he partnered youngster Juan Brandariz.

“I am satisfied with my debut for the club,” Murillo is cited as saying by Diario Sport.

“It will take time for me to get used to the team’s style of play, to my teammates and to the intensity in training, but I have been working hard to ensure I am ready.

“The Coutinho penalty could be valuable for us and we still have one more game to go in the tie, at our home stadium, so nobody is panicked, the goal has changed the complexion of the tie.

“We hope things go well at the Camp Nou and we can continue in the Copa.”
