Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari has heaped praise on Vinicius Junior following the 3-0 Copa del Rey victory over Leganes.
The teenage Brazilian forward was on target for Los Blancos in the victory of the first leg tie of the last 16 match on Wednesday.
“He is growing very quickly and this was another very strong performance from him,” Solari told reporters after the match.
“This is the perfect club for him to develop his supreme talent because he is surrounded by excellent footballers who have won many competitions.
“The most striking thing is his confidence and how he enjoys his game, he is not afraid to try different things and that gives an extra dimension to us.
“He is at a very important stage in his development, he is only an 18-year-old so it is important he keeps learning every day and with each game.
“His goal was fantastic because it showcased his technique and ability to flat-foot defenders, it was everything he is good at.
“We are really pleased with his overall levels of performance and his inventiveness is very important in football.”
