Real Madrid have decided to fine forward Gareth Bale for leaving the stands ten minutes early in the recent 2-0 defeat against Real Sociedad, say reports in Spain.
Diario AS cite a report in El Confidencial that confirms a fine is the likely outcome as it is a breach of protocol for injured players in the stadium to remain for the full match.
The Welshman was caught by TV cameras departing the stands in the 78th minute of Madrid’s 2-0 defeat against La Real, who scored their second goal with four minutes remaining.
The former Tottenham forward is accused of breaching rules designed to create a team spirit and has, the report claims, seen his commitment questioned by fellow teammates.
Bale is currently missing from action with a calf muscle strain sustained in the recent 2-2 draw against Villarreal.
