¡Feliz Ano Nuevo from Football Espana!

Football Espana would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our readers a Happy New Year!

It has been an action-filled year both nationally and internationally in Spain, with La Liga continuing to dominate European competition but the Spanish national side falling short in the World Cup.

Julen Lopetegui’s dismissal on the eve of the World Cup led to a chaotic summer for Spanish football but with Luis Enrique now at the helm, the waters appear to have settled going into the Euro 2020 qualification campaign.

Barcelona recorded yet another domestic double while Real Madrid won their third straight Champions League title and their fourth in five seasons.

Rayo Vallecano and Real Valladolid are back in La Liga while Huesca have their first ever top-flight campaign, and Atletico Madrid landed both the Europa League and European Super Cup titles.

Thank you for your continued support over the past 12 months, and we hope that everyone has a great 2019.

We’re taking a mini-break on New Year’s Day, before normal service resumes on January 2.

¡Feliz Ano Nuevo!
