Dani Olmo: ‘Return to Barcelona? I won’t rule it out’

Dinamo Zagreb winger Dani Olmo ‘would not say no’ to the chance to rejoin Barcelona, whom he left in 2015.

Olmo joined Dinamo as part of the swap deal which saw Alen Halilovic move to Barca in 2015 and has since emerged as a star for the Croatian club.

The winger is now 20 and reports claim the Catalan club have now made contact over the future of the Spain Under-21 international.

“I still follow Barcelona and I’m really happy for my friend Carles Alena to be playing,” Olmo told an interview with Diario Sport.

“They’re having a good season but Barca are Barca – they expect to be winning games and titles.

“I have no regrets that I left the club, it was a very tough decision but it was a big leap for me and I have adapted really well.

“I will always be a fan and having spent seven years at the club I have great affection for them, and they are one of the best clubs in the world.

“What player would want to rule out signing for the club, we will see what happens in the future but I do not want to close any doors.

“My future is the subject for my agent, I will focus on my football.”

Dinamo have previously knocked back interest from Valencia and Milan while Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Olympique de Marseille have also been linked.

However, the one stumbling block to any deal is Dinamo’s insistence that they will not sell their star for less than €25m.
