Milan consider swap deal for Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata

Chelsea and Milan are said to be considering a swap deal for strikers Alvaro Morata and Gonzalo Higuain in January.

Morata joined the Blues from Real Madrid in a €65m deal last summer but has struggled for form for the majority of his time in the English capital.

The Spain international has found the back of the net 16 goals in 45 appearances for the West London outfit but has once again fallen out of favour.

Sky Sports journalist Luca Marchetti has floated the possibility of a swap deal between Morata and Higuain – who is currently at Milan having joined from Juventus this summer.

The Rossoneri are said to be long-term fans of Morata while Higuain previously starred under current Blues boss Maurizio Sarri while the two were at Napoli.

However, Higuain is still on loan at the Milanese giants from the Old Lady which could scupper any potential deal.
