Toni Kroos insists Real Madrid are ‘equally motivated’ by the Club World Cup and Champions League: ‘We want to keep making history’.
Madrid are aiming for a third successive Club World Cup title and defeated Japanese side Kashima Antlers in Wednesday’s semi-final, thanks to a Gareth Bale hat-trick.
“The Club World Cup is like the Champions League for us, they both motivate me greatly,” Kroos told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“There is a difficult path in order to reach this stage and we want to continue making history, that is our objective.
“Al Ain? We don’t know what to expect but we have to study them and prepare a game-plan to defeat them, just like we would in any other competition.
“Marcos Llorente? He is capable of having a big future here at the club, he works very hard in training and is physically strong, now he is getting his reward.”
