Santiago Solari praises Gareth Bale for ‘showing everything’ for Real Madrid

Real Madrid Coach Santiago Solari has praised Gareth Bale for ‘showing everything’ against Kashima Antlers in the Club World Cup semi-final.

The Welshman scored a hat-trick to send Madrid to the weekend final as they defeated the Japanese club 3-1 in Wednesday’s match.

“Bale had everything in his performance, he ripped them up,” Solari told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“He had the goals, his movement and general performance all over the pitch, he has shown what he is capable of with this.

“We are very happy with his level and we know that he will not score three goals in every game but we hope that he can repeat this level of performance, giving great joy to us.

“Kashima Antlers have shown why they won their Asian Cup, they were very competitive and showed a high level.

“Marcos Llorente? He has been playing like he has been in the position for years and has impressied, Casemiro needs minutes to return to fitness.

“Marcelo? He has performed very well after having a bad time with injuries and trying to recover his fitness – he has contributed in attack too.

“He has to keep working harder and I need to make sure he keeps working on defending as well as an attack.”
