Adrien Rabiot ‘agrees personal terms’ with Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain Adrien Rabiot has already agreed personal terms with Barcelona to join the club in 2019, say reports.

The 23-year-old is out of contract at the French champions in June and has been linked with several top European clubs, including the Blaugrana.

Reports that the central midfielder had already agreed terms were reported Le Parisien at first and verified by El Mundo Deportivo.

The Frenchman’s contractual situation has led to reports he could leave the French capital in a cut-price deal this January, or for free next summer.

Earlier this week, PSG chief Antero Henrique commented that the midfielder would not play for the club again unless he signed a new contract: “The player informed me that he will not be signing a new contract and that he wants to leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season [also the end of his contract].

“For the player, the consequences are clear – he is indefinitely benched.”

The Catalan giants were strongly linked to Rabiot this summer but instead signed Arthur Melo and Arturo Vidal to replace the outgoing Andres Iniesta and Paulinho.
