Tottenham Hotspur dramatically reached the Champions League last 16 after they drew 1-1 with Barcelona on Tuesday.

Ousmane Dembele's golazo in just the seventh minute seemed to have condemned Tottenham to the Europa League, but Lucas Moura came off the bench to score a late equaliser and punish Inter for their failure to beat PSV.
The Blaugrana had already secured top spot in Group B so Lionel Messi was rested, as were Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Arturo Vidal. That let in Jasper Cillessen, Thomas Vermaelen and Munir El Haddadifor rare starts, as well as La Masia graduates Juan Miranda and Carles Alena.
Spurs, meanwhile, were without first-team trio Mousa Dembele, Davinson Sanchez and Victor Wanyama, although the prolific Harry Kane led their attack. The Premier League high-fliers simply needed to match or better Inter's result against PSV to join the Catalans in the last 16.
However, Kyle Walker-Peters made a nightmare start to his Champions League debut as Dembele outmuscled him in his own half, before skipping past him, breaking into box and coolly placing a finish past Hugo Lloris.
Heung-min Son then had a couple of chances for Tottenham, but he failed to prod in Danny Rose’s low cross and had a curler parried away by Cillessen.
At the other end, Philippe Coutinho left three white shirts for dead on the turn and bent a finish on to Lloris’ right-hand post.
Munir was half-a-yard offside when he peeled off Spurs’ last defender and flicked a finish past Lloris, and that was his last involvement as Messi played the final half-hour.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side threw the kitchen sink but were denied by Cillessen, who somehow turned Christian Eriksen’s point-blank finish away from goal and pushed Lucas’ header off the line.
Coutinho suddenly flinged a shot on to the post, and it was followed by Harry Kane getting in behind down Barca’s right-hand side and crossing for Lucas to side-foot past Cillessen.
With that, Tottenham went through in second place as Inter could only draw 1-1 with PSV, although Rose thanked the heavens after he blazed over what would’ve been the winner from close range.
