Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone ‘worried’ about Monaco game

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has confessed he is ‘worried about everything’ ahead of his side’s Champions League clash with Monaco.

Los Rojiblancos are firmly on course for a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League and need just one point against the French side to seal their progress.

“I am worried about everything,” Simeone told reporters ahead of the match, as cited by Marca.

“To transmit the idea of the game to the team, to be able to execute that on the pitch, to show the characteristics that we have and to show our development.

“We are always growing and we are aiming to have a game that we feel the most comfortable with, and I hope that we have a strong game.

“We need to play well and as Lucas (Hernandez) has said, we need to have a good performance and result to qualify for the last 16.

“Respect for us? I do not think about it, but I just try to come up with solutions so that we compete to the best of our abilities in all competitions.

“Football is wonderful because everyone can have an opinion, can make different judgements based on what they think and what they see.

“I am a very respectful individual, I always have been and you cannot change those who do not.”
