Barcelona defender Gerard Pique fined for driving offence

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has been fined €48k for driving whilst having no points on his license, it has been confirmed.

The offence took place in August and driving without any points on your license is always classified as a crime, with the maximum punishment a six-month prison sentence.

In October 2014, the former Spain international was fined €10.5k following an altercation with an officer, and he has accepted the latest judgement handed down by the court.

Prior to these incidents, in 2011, the defender was caught holding his son in his arms instead of having him on a designated child-seat.
