Vinicius Junior has credited fellow Brazilians Casemiro and Marcelo for helping him to adapt to Real Madrid ‘quicker than anyone expected’.
The 18-year-old has been afforded more playing time under new boss Santiago Solari having appeared in just one 12-minute cameo under the Argentine’s predecessor Julen Lopetegui.
“Casemiro and Marcelo have played a massive part of me settling in so quickly,” Vinicius told SporTV in Brazil, as cited by Diario AS.
“Nobody – not myself, my family, Real Madrid – would have envisaged me settling in so quickly, I think I have adapted very fast and now evolving as a player.
“Playing for the Castilla helped because I was here even though I was not with the first-team, I could adapt to Madrid and the way of life, the expectations here.
“I want to continue earning first-team opportunities, I am very excited.”
