Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez has been linked with a January move to Real Betis by reports in the Spanish press.
Los Verdiblancos were linked with a summer transfer for the former Tenerife striker but he remained at the Magpies, who has just one goal in 12 Premier League appearances this season to date.
The 25-year-old has also previously been linked with a move to Real Sociedad but El Gol Digital claim that it is Betis who currently lead the race for his signature.
The Seville-based club are said to be prioritising strengthening their attacking ranks with Loren Moron, Sergio Leon and Antonio Sanabria the club’s main attacking options at present.
