Barcelona want Georgian teenager Giorgi Chakvetadze

Barcelona are considering a move for Gent attacking midfielder and Georgia international Giorgi Chakvetadze, claim Diario Sport.

The 19-year-old joined the Belgian side from Dinamo Tblisi in the summer of 2017 and has developed into one of the most promising talents in the division.

Barca scouts are set to attend the nearby UEFA Nations League international in Andorra this week to monitor the talent, with a potential future move in the pipeline.

Primarily an attacking midfielder who can also be deployed as a second striker, Chakvetadze has netted four times in 15 Belgian league appearances this campaign.

His ability to work between the lines and his technical ability has ensured the Catalan giants have tracked the teenager for more than a year, claims the report.
