Polls in Madrid sports papers Marca and Diario AS have overwhelmingly shown Real Madrid fans want Vinicius Junior to start in La Liga.
The Brazilian earned the praise of Madrid interim boss Santiago Solari after his first start for the club in Wednesday’s 4-0 Copa del Rey victory at Melilla.
A poll in Marca showed 87% of respondents wanted the 18-year-old to start on Saturday against Real Valladolid while the same question in Diario AS showed 90% backed his inclusion.
Vinicius told Fox Sports after his first start for the club: “I have shown my style, I like to play direct and take on my opponents, I am always looking to score.
“It was an important moment in my career for the first start for this great club, I want to thank everyone who made this possible and helped my adaptation.”
