Valencia face ‘must win’ Young Boys game – Marcelino

Valencia Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral believes his team ‘must win’ at Young Boys Bern to ‘stay alive’ in the Champions League.

Los Che have collected just one point from their opening two matches but now face back-to-back matches against the Swiss side, rank outsiders in the group.

“I always believe my team are favourites, and this is no different,” Marcelino told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“We know this is a game we must win but we are aware this will not be easy and we must make sure we stay alive in the group.

“Victories will come, we are confident of this. We are playing games like this because of the hard work of the players last year so we must take advantage of this scenario.

“Every match at this level is extremely different, we are playing teams who are used to winning and who play at a highly competitive level.

“We know we have not been winning enough and not scoring enough but we are not anxious, and I have not spoken about this.

“We must recover our form from last season but we are confident of this.”
