Real Madrid duo Sergio Ramos and Sergio Reguilon have both played down a training ground incident from Monday afternoon.
Video footage saw the Madrid captain kick a ball violenty in the direction of the youngster after a collision when the squad were playing handball.
“Although it does not seem like it, these situations are quite common,” Ramos said on Twitter.
“This is not an excuse, because my reaction should not have been this. We always go to the maximum, isn’t that right Regui? In the end we are a team who win together.”
Reguilon then replied soon after: “I always support my team and my captain, we go for the victory tomorrow!”
Madrid are without a victory in five games and take on Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday night in the Champions League.
