Barcelona have confirmed that Lionel Messi will be out for ‘approximately three weeks’ with an arm injury.
Messi was forced off midway through the first half of Barcelona’s 4-2 win against Sevilla on Saturday after he landed awkwardly on his arm.
The Catalans tweeted after the game: “Tests carried out on the first team player Leo Messi have confirmed that he has a fracture of the radial bone in his right arm. He will be out for approximately three weeks.”
The No 10 will consequently miss his side’s Champions League double-header with Inter and the Clasico against Real Madrid next weekend, as well as games versus Cultural Leonesa, Rayo Vallecano and Real Betis.
