Antoine Griezmann is ‘happy and settled’ at Atletico Madrid and has no intentions of being involved in another transfer saga this summer.
The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from Atleti in each of the past two summer transfer windows, heavily linked to both Manchester United and then Barcelona.
“There will always be speculation in the media regardless of the truth,” Griezmann told an interview with Diario AS.
“I am happy at Atletico and now I am settled here, I am the third captain and that brings both pride and responsibility.
“I am enjoying myself wearing the Atletico shirt and love this club, my teammates and the setup so there is no need to move.
“Lucas Hernandez? He is very happy too and has everything he needs to continue to improve, he was great for France in the World Cup and has shown that form this season too.
“Filipe Luis? He knows we all want him to stay but every player has their motivations for what they want, but he is working hard for this club.
“Diego Simeone? Nobody wants to think about the possibility of him leaving the club, I see him being here and me being here for as long as we are no longer capable of delivering.
“Our slow start? We have a lot of new players so it takes times to settle, now we must look to start winning as soon as possible – we are all fully motivated.”
