Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has described Antoine Griezmann’s absence from FIFA’s The Best shortlist as an ‘injustice’.
The Frenchman has missed out on the three-man list which includes Luka Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah, but which also excludes Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
“It is an injustice that Griezmann is not on the list of prizes that he deserves to be on,” Cerezo said, as cited by Cadena Cope.
Griezmann himself is still not happy about the three-man shortlist, with his latest comments reported as: “I think that it is strange there are no French players on it.”
The 27-year-old helped France to the World Cup title and Atletico to both the Europa League and Super Cup titles.
