Barca: Police intervene in Munir’s party

Spanish police had to be called following a monetary dispute following Barcelona striker Munir El Haddadi’s birthday party on Saturday, say El Mundo.

The report claims the player held the event in famed Madrid nightclub Tiffany's but a dispute broke out at the end of the evening over the €16,000 cost.

The player allegedly refused to pay the bill – reportedly said to be so high as 40 people were in attendance, with large amounts of food, drink and shisha consumed.

The striker is said to have eventually paid the bill following the intervention of the authorities, with no further incidents.

Munir has made 26 La Liga appearances for Barca but has spent the past two seasons out on loan, firstly at Valencia and then at Alaves.

He netted 14 goals in 37 appearances for the Basque club last season but was widely expected to leave the Camp Nou on a permanent basis this summer.

The 22-year-old’s current deal at Barca expires in June 2019 but Marca last month reported a new contract would be offered by the Blaugrana.
