Rayo Vallecano have completed the signing of Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula on a season-long loan deal, it has been confirmed.
Imbula played 34 times for Toulouse last season on a season-long loan deal but no Ligue 1 club has come in for a permanent deal for the former France Under-21 international.
RMC Sport previously reported Levante as favourites as they saw the holding midfielder as the ideal replacement for Jefferson Lerma, who has joined Bournemouth in a €30m deal.
The 25-year-old joined the Potters, who are now in the English Championship, in a then club record €24m deal in February 2016.
He is the latest player to arrive at Rayo following deals for Alvaro Garcia, Raul Garcia de Tomas and Jordi Amat.
