Betis hope on Zinchenko, Rafinha

Real Betis are hopeful of two new signings this week with Rafinha Alcantara and Oleksander Zinchenko (pictured) top of the list, say reports in Spain.

The transfer window in Spain closes at the end of the month while the Seville-based club have been in negotiations with Barcelona and Manchester City respectively regarding the players.

The problem has been that whilst Los Verdiblancos preferred a loan deal, both clubs are insisting on permanent moves and that economic stumbling block has delayed proceedings.

ABC de Sevilla say that Barca may reduce their asking price for Rafinha, originally set at €40m, to around half that because the player reportedly wants the move to go through.

Ernesto Valverde has continually hinted he would like the midfielder to stay at the Camp Nou but he was not included in the recent matchday squad against Real Valladolid.

Zinchenko would add competition to the left wing-back slot for Betis with Junior Firpo the only candidate following Riza Durmisi’s summer exit to Lazio.

The Ukranian has not been included in a City matchday squad this season but they are thought to want a permanent sale in the region of €16m.
