Madrid’s Nacho a one-club man

Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez has expressed his desire to spend the entirety of his career at the European champions.

The 28-year-old has spent the entirety of his career at Los Blancos, making 161 first-team appearances since 2011 following four years with the club’s Castilla side.

“My idea is to end my career at home, at this club,” Nacho told GQ Magazine, in quotes carried by El Desmarque.

“The truth is there is no better place for me than at Real Madrid, it has everything that I want on both a personal and professional level.

“Most athletes reach points in their career when they have to make a tough decision or take a path that is not ideal, but for me I have been very lucky to date in that I have not.

“This is the best club for me to continue to improve, to grow as a player and that is what I want to finish my career at home.”
