Bayern Munich are laying the foundations for an ambitious move to sign Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann next year, claim reports.
A report in Bild says the German champions would be prepared to pay the Frenchman’s lavish €200m release clause, despite him signing a new deal at Atleti this summer.
The report, as cited by Diario AS, indicates that the 34-year-old Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery (35) will both need replaced by the Bavarian club and they see Griezmann as the ideal candidate.
Such a deal does appear unlikely for a number of factors, while Manchester United and Barcelona were both unsuccessful in their recent pursuits of the World Cup winner.
