Villarreal midfielder Samu Castillejo has been the subject of an enquiry from Serie A club Milan, according to reports.
The 23-year-old has been identified by the Rossoneri as their next primary transfer objective in a summer in which they continue to reshape their squad.
Sky Sport Italia there is a bid of €18m on the table plus striker Carlos Bacca, who spent last season on loan at Villarreal.
However, the Yellow Submarine would prefer to receive a one-off payment of €25m and are not interested in any swap deals.
A vibrant attack-minded player who is often deployed wide, he joined the Europa League regulars from Malaga in 2015 and has made 127 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals.
Last season, Castillejo six goals with eight assists in 38 competitive games for Villarreal and earlier this month was linked with a move to Sevilla.
