Lewandowski ‘crazy’ for Madrid move

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has not given up on his ‘dream’ of playing for Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

Marca say the striker, who celebrates his 30th birthday next month, is still keen to play for the European champions despite Bayern appearing to rule out a move.

Lewandowski has long been linked with a potential switch to Madrid and recently switched agents to Pini Zahavi, fuelling reports of a move.

The report continues that neither club are interested in entering ‘a bidding war’ due to a strong relationship between both sides.

The Poland international joined the Bavarians from Borussia Dortmund in 2014 and has since netted 151 goals in 195 appearances, winning four successive league titles.

His contract at the German champions runs through until 2021 but Lewandowski has not yet given up hope of Madrid, although a move this summer still appears unlikely.
