Celta Vigo defender Jonny Castro will join Atletico Madrid in a €7m deal before completing a season-long loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Marca and Diario AS both say a deal has been done for the defender, who has spent the entirety of his career at the Galician club but whose contract expires next season.
The 24-year-old will join newly-promoted Wolves for the season due to Atleti already being well-stocked in the full-back positions.
The future of Sime Vrsaljko appears uncertain while Juanfran may be entering his final season with Los Rojiblancos after recently signing a one-year contract extension.
Comfortable playing either in the heart of right-hand side of the defence, Jonny has racked up over 200 appearances since graduating through Celta’s academy and was a mainstay of Spain’s successful Under-21 squad.
