Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral has extended his contract at Valencia by one further year into 2020 after guiding the club into the Champions League.
Los Che finished fourth last season in their first season under the former Villarreal boss following on from consecutive 12th-placed finishes.
“Valencia CF have reached a total agreement with Marcelino Garcia Toral this Wednesday for the one-year extension until June 30, 2020 of his contract as first-team manager,” read a Valencia statement.
Marcelino, 52, who has also been in charge of Sporting Gijon, Recreativo de Huelva and Sevilla, will now be at the Mestalla hot seat for another two seasons at least.
