Boca offer for Barca’s Yerry Mina

Argentine giants Boca Juniors have made a €5m loan offer for Barcelona with a €10m option to buy, according to reports.

Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports on the deal, as cited by El Mundo Deportivo, which states the Colombian central defender is a prime transfer target for Boca.

The Blaugrana paid Palmeiras €11.6m for the 23-year-old in January, but he has played just five times for the Spanish champions.

Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti are their first-choice partnership in central defence, while Thomas Vermaelen has proven himself as a backup and Clement Lenglet has arrived from Sevilla.

England and Borussia Dortmund have both been linked to the central defender – who starred for Colombia in this summer’s World Cup.

A report in El Mundo Deportivo last week claimed the defender’s ‘spectacular physique, power, youth and international status’ had ensured he was in high demand.
