PSG ‘sanction Rabiot move to Barca’

Paris Saint-Germain have sanctioned the exit of Adrien Rabiot following talks with Barcelona, according to fresh reports.

El Mundo Deportivo stated earlier this week that Barca general manager Pep Segura and technical secretary Eric Abidal have met with PSG officials over a potential deal.

Le Parisien now say the French champions have sanctioned the exit of the the central midfielder, who is out of contract next June.

Rabiot’s contractual situation has given hope to the Spanish champions that a value deal can be struck this summer for a player for whom they’ve had a long-standing interest.

A report in France Football earlier this month said Abidal had met with the player’s mother to discuss a potential deal, while the Catalan outlet has printed an image of the Barca duo in the Paris airport.

It was previously reported that PSG owner Nasser Al Khelaifi is reportedly still confident of a renewal for the 23-year-old.
