Gareth Bale still plans to hold talks with Real Madrid despite the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, it has been reported.
Suggestions in the Madrid-based Diario AS arose that the Welshman had scrapped talks over a potential move away following Ronaldo’s exit and Julen Lopetegui replacing Zinedine Zidane as Coach.
However, Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett is quoted as telling ESPN FC: “Gareth will speak to the Coach and we will go from there.”
The 28-year-old is under contract at the European champions until 2022 but faces competition for places from the emergence of Isco and Marco Asensio.
