Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is confident Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at the club despite reports linking him to Juventus.
Modric has helped propel Croatia into the last four of the World Cup but he gave time to spoke of club teammate’s future amid links to the Italian champions.
“Cristiano? I do not think he will leave Madrid,” Modric is cited as saying by Diario AS.
“We want him to stay of course because he is the greatest player in world football so we will wait to see how it unfolds.
“He means a lot to us and my belief is that he will remain a Madrid player, and I cannot think of him playing for any other club in Europe.”
