Sergio Ramos: Spain must change mood

Sergio Ramos admits Spain must improve in the knockout stages of the World Cup and confessed: ‘we must change the current mood’.

The Real Madrid defender admitted the back four, of which he is at the heart of, have lacked concentration and they must address the situation.

“We must change the current mood as soon as possible,” Ramos is cited as saying by Marca.

“It was important to progress from the group so not everything is as bad as some people might say but the performance was not what it should be.

“We have a lot of attacking threat but in defence we must be more careful as that has cost us so far, we must reduce the margin of error because from now on, if we perform poorly we are out.

“Russia? It will demand a strong performance from us and we must be focused.”

Spain topped the group following Monday evening’s dramatic 2-2 draw against Morocco.
