Antoine Griezmann claims ‘love and my heart’ kept him at Atletico Madrid and that ‘I wanted to show how we make decisions’ with his documentary.
Griezmann ultimately decided to stay at Atleti as opposed to join Barcelona, but the attacker was heavily criticised for announcing his decision in a 30-minute piece of programming on Spanish television, which also saw Gerard Pique come under fire for his role in its production.
“Love and my heart made me stay,” he told Telefoot.
“I received a lot of love and support. I wanted to show how we make decisions. Some enjoyed it, others didn’t… I don’t think I bothered the team or the Coach.”
