Navas: Madrid fans want me to stay

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has revealed how fans of the club want him to remain as first-choice goalkeeper.

The Costa Rica international joined Madrid from Levante in the summer of 2014 and has established himself as first-choice at the Bernabeu.

“People ask me not to leave Madrid,” Navas told an interview with Marca.

“Madridistas are with me, they are always telling me how much they love me and want me to stay at their club, whether that’s at the stadium or in the city.

“I first heard about Zidane’s departure when I was in Costa Rica…it shocked me. I will always be grateful to how he helped me, he was always there for me and showed me support.

“He always had good advice for me and welcomed me with a smile, it was for those reasons that he gave me the confidence I needed.

“Winning the World Cup? In my heart, everything is possible. I believe you can achieve everything with hard work.”
