Madrid set Ronaldo price at €200m

Real Madrid have not received any offer for Cristiano Ronaldo and would not sell their star for less than €200m, say reports in the Spanish press.

A detailed report in El Mundo cites how the club’s position on the Portugal captain, who has a contract with the European Champions until 2021, has not changed.

Ronaldo has a €1,000m release clause which gives Madrid total control over the player’s future and unless a ‘highly attractive’ offer arrives, he will not leave.

The front page of today’s Marca insisted how the former Manchester United star was ‘serious’ about his intentions to leave this summer, following an ‘irreversible decision’, according to Thursday’s Record in Portugal.

The 33-year-old has previously insisted he has a desire to leave Madrid, whom he joined nine years ago, but the move has never materialised.

The former Sporting CP and United forward has become Madrid’s all-time leading scorer, having scored a remarkable 450 goals in 438 appearances for the club.
