Lionel Messi is excited by the potential arrival of ‘fantastic’ Antoine Griezmann at Barcelona but is not ‘totally certain’ on a deal.
The Atletico Madrid forward has been strongly linked with a summer move to the Camp Nou but reports now suggest he could remain at Diego Simeone’s side.
“The best players find it easy to understand each other,” Messi explained in an interview with El Mundo Deportivo.
“Griezmann is one of the best players in the game and right now, he is in an optimal part of his career so it would be a fantastic addition for us.
“It would be a big challenge for the Coach to fit us all together of course but that is a good problem to have.
“Barcelona want to have the best team in the world and that means wanting the best players, so we would be excited.
“It is still not totally certain but the more quality players are here, the better.”
