Napoli target Barca’s Vidal

Italian giants Napoli are keen on a deal for out-of-favour Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal this summer, according to reports.

El Mundo Deportivo cite a report in Italian media outlet Il Messagero which states new Coach Carlo Ancelotti has instructed the club’s sporting director to pursue a deal for Vidal.

Roma, Inter and Sevilla are all still said to hold an interest in the wing-back, who looks set to exit the Camp Nou this summer.

The 28-year-old initially joined the Blaugrana from Sevilla in the summer of 2015 for a €28m which included add-ons.

Vidal has failed to make an impact, starting only 15 La Liga games and has played second fiddle to Dani Alves, Sergi Roberto and Nelson Semedo.
